Job Description:
We are looking for a Bid & Sales Support Engineer to join our team and play a key role in preparing competitive bids and supporting sales activities in railway signalling and telecommunications projects. This position will be critical in driving high-quality proposals aligned with customer requirements, company strategy, and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the preparation of technical and commercial proposals in line with company processes and standards
- Analyze customer requirements (technical specifications, tender documents) and develop compliant, competitive technical solutions and technical description with quantities, details, tender design documents, etc.
- Act as capture leader for opportunities which are assigned
- Support tender activities, including bid reviews, documentation, and submission processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Procurement, Management; deployment, Project Management)) to ensure high-quality deliverables
- Contribute to defining bid strategies, pricing, and win themes
- Coordinate technical communication with customers during tender phases
- Prepare all necessary documentation, presentation for Opportunity review, approval
- Present technical solutions, descriptions to customers
- Prepare scope of Works documents, interface documents and discuss& negotiate with stakeholders or customers.
- Support contract review and preparation of technical documentation for awarded projects
- Prepare bill of materials, costing tables, customer bid tables, budgets, forecasts, and project-related data for decision-making
- Identify risks, opportunities, and local sourcing alternatives to enhance competitiveness
- Participate in presentations to customers and internal stakeholders
- Ensure alignment with Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD/KPI) objectives
- Support continuous improvement, business development initiatives, and company growth
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering (or related fields)
- Minimum 5 years of experience, preferably in railway signalling, telecom systems, or infrastructure projects
- Experience in bidding, proposals, or project environments is a strong asset
- Fluent in English (Spanish is a plus)
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office tools, MS Word, Excel, Project
