Consultant Conversion - Director, Lead Software Eng

This role is for a mid-level Java/Python/Database developer with ideally 6-8 years of experience to join Securities Reference Data team in Montreal.

The candidate will be part of a business-focused development squad responsible for building and maintaining applications on existing SRD platforms, while also contributing to ongoing modernization initiatives. A key focus will be workflows related to ingesting and mastering for Listed Derivatives as well as Index and ETF securities, including managing complex instrument hierarchies, identifier mappings, constituent and benchmark relationships, and vendor-driven data changes.

The role will also require strong attention to data quality, timeliness, lineage, and downstream distribution impacts, given the broad consumption of Index and ETF data across trading, risk, operations, and regulatory workflows.

The candidate will work closely with squad members, global development teams, operations teams, and stakeholders to deliver day-to-day responsibilities effectively.

The role offers the opportunity to engage directly with users and business analysts, translate business requirements into technical solutions, and independently manage end-to-end deliverables.
