UOB Innovation Hub 2 (InnoHub2) is a UOB-wholly owned subsidiary and a Centre of Excellence based in Malaysia, providing Group Business Services (GBS) to support the UOB Group. Started in 2021 with technology application design, development and support, InnoHub2 is expanding beyond technology services to deliver other business services to support the Bank’s growth ambition. Job Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the end-to-end software development and support for all work transitioned from Group (specialized and focus on L3 production fixes). This includes analysis and design to development, implementation, testing and support and you will be expected to manage production problems and incidents.
With a primary role as a member of the L3 support team, you will mainly be responsible for day-to-day application stability & improvement activities around code fixes within the Customer & Credit Origination domain area and working with other members of the team where required. You will also partner closely with the group domain team to plan and manage transitioned deliverables of project delivery/change requests
You will also be responsible for quality assurance of the team delivery in conformance to the Bank-defined software delivery methodology and tools. You will partner closely with the Group domain team to plan and manage transitioned deliverables.
Act as the focal point of contact for technical resolutions while managing the incident, problem and knowledge management processes for the applications in scope.
Provide comprehensive support to internal customers; achieve resolution to outstanding problems or issues.
Manage 3rd party product vendors and integration partners to ensure application code fix deliveries are timely and good quality.
Design appropriate metrics for reporting key performance and quality indicators.
Test, maintain and recommend software improvements to ensure strong functionality and optimization.
Work with production support team members to conduct root cause analysis of issues, review new and existing code and/or perform unit testing.
Work with business stakeholders to manage and prioritize the overall book of work in terms of problem remediation.
Contribute to improvement initiatives relating to methods, tools, people, architecture, project management and governance.
Job Requirements
The ideal candidate will be a dependable and resourceful technology management professional who can comfortably work in a large development organization in a globally distributed, dynamic work environment that fosters diversity, teamwork, and collaboration. He/she should be passionate about Technology and have a mindset to be technically hands-on if needed. Well-versed in the latest trends, especially around disruptive technology, and proven record in execution. The ability to work and thrive in high pressure environment is essential.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar domain related professional/technical qualification will be advantageous although not mandatory.
At least 6 years’ experience in relevant Banking applications / Information Technology.
Experience in banking or financial services processes, particularly CRM or Credit Origination lifecycle
Experience in stakeholder management to align business and technical team
Experience in implementing large-scale, highly available applications or other large project implementation.
Proven result-oriented person with a focus on delivery.
Good understanding and experience in software development cycle.
Highly effective communicating with technical stakeholders, proficient communicating with non-technical stakeholders.
Good problem solving, analytical, synthesis, system thinking and solutioning skills.
