Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time - Unarmed in Spartanburg, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Security Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and/or delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, deliveries, and/or restricted areas in accordance with site requirements; report unusual conditions or policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and documenting actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, parking areas, perimeter, and operational spaces to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications while coordinating with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
