We are looking for a Massachusetts Grade III Wastewater Operator to join our team at the Cohasset Wastewater Treatment Facility. If you enjoy hands-on work, solving problems, working outdoors, and being part of a team that helps protect the environment, we'd love to hear from you.
As part of our Operations & Maintenance team, you'll play a key role in ensuring the facility operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with environmental regulations. Every day brings something different, offering opportunities to learn, grow, and advance your career.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Operators also participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours plant coverage and may occasionally respond to emergency situations or work during inclement weather.
What You'll Do:
As a Wastewater Operator, you'll be involved in the daily operation and maintenance of a 0.45 MGD membrane bioreactor (MBR) wastewater treatment facility and collection system.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting daily plant inspections and operational rounds
- Monitoring treatment processes and performing process control adjustments
- Collecting samples and performing laboratory testing and analysis
- Maintaining accurate operational records and reports
- Assisting with sludge thickening operations
- Performing preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment
- Supporting facility, grounds, and collection system maintenance
- Following all safety procedures and environmental regulations
- Responding to operational issues and emergency situations as needed
