Join the Emergency Department as a Seasonal RN and play a critical role in delivering lifesaving care at Logan Health Medical Center in Kalispell, Montana.

In this fast-paced, high-acuity setting, you'll assess, treat, and stabilize patients facing a wide range of medical emergencies. As part of a Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center, you'll work alongside skilled professionals dedicated to providing immediate and compassionate patient care.

At Logan Health, seasonal RNs are not viewed as temporary help—they are fully integrated members of the Emergency Department team. From day one, you will work alongside experienced nurses, physicians, advanced practice providers, technicians, and support staff delivering care across the full spectrum of emergency medicine.

Seasonal Assignment Details

  • 13-week seasonal assignment

  • 36 hours per week (3x12-hour shifts)

  • 15% seasonal premium pay

  • $1,000 bonus after 30 days

  • $1,000 bonus after 60 days

  • $2,000 completion bonus

What We're Looking For

  • Current Montana RN license or compact license eligibility

  • 2+ years of Emergency Department experience

  • ACLS, PALS, and TNCC required

  • ENPC preferred

  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and prioritization skills

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

  • Hiking among golden larches and enjoying crisp mountain air

  • Attending holiday festivals, tree lightings, and community celebrations throughout the Flathead Valley

  • Experiencing the opening weeks of ski and snowboard season at Whitefish Mountain Resort

  • Discovering the cozy charm of Montana's mountain towns as winter approaches

❄️ October 5 – January 2 | Holiday Season & Winter Adventure

Experience Northwest Montana as fall gives way to winter and the holiday season comes alive.

When you're not caring for patients, you might be:

  • Exploring snow-covered mountain landscapes and winter trails

  • Skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, or cross-country skiing throughout the region

  • Enjoying holiday markets, seasonal performances, and community celebrations

  • Exploring Whitefish and Kalispell as they come alive with holiday lights and winter events

  • Welcoming the New Year surrounded by Montana's breathtaking mountain scenery

🍂 October 19 – January 16 | Fall Colors, Holiday Magic & Winter Adventure

Experience the changing seasons as autumn fades into a true Montana winter.

When you're not caring for patients, you might be:

  • Catching the final fall colors and golden larches throughout Glacier National Park

  • Watching the surrounding mountains transform with the first significant snowfall

  • Enjoying holiday markets, tree lightings, and winter festivals throughout the Flathead Valley

  • Skiing or snowboarding as the winter season gets underway

  • Cozying up at local coffee shops, restaurants, and breweries after a day outside

❄️ November 2 – January 30 | Holiday Season & Peak Winter Adventure

Spend the holidays in Montana and experience the Flathead Valley settling into winter.

When you're not caring for patients, you might be:

  • Exploring snow-covered trails and scenic winter landscapes

  • Taking advantage of ski and snowboard season at Whitefish Mountain Resort

  • Enjoying holiday markets, parades, concerts, and seasonal celebrations

  • Exploring downtown Whitefish and Kalispell beneath the holiday lights

  • Taking scenic winter drives and enjoying cozy evenings in the valley

🏔️ November 16 – February 13 | Montana Winter, From the Holidays to Peak Ski Season

For those looking to experience Montana in winter, this assignment takes you from the holiday season into the heart of winter recreation.

When you're not caring for patients, you might be:

  • Skiing or snowboarding at Whitefish Mountain Resort during peak winter season

  • Snowshoeing or cross-country skiing through peaceful winter landscapes

  • Exploring the quieter winter beauty of Glacier National Park and the Flathead Valley

  • Enjoying local winter events, live entertainment, and cozy mountain-town evenings

  • Experiencing Montana's winter at its fullest before the days begin to lengthen toward spring

Seasonal Emergency Department positions are limited and fill quickly. We encourage interested nurses to apply early.

Shift:

Night Shift - 12 Hours (United States of America)

Schedule: 13-week assignment, 3 12-hour Night shifts per week, 1900-0700

Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week.  Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
