Job Description Summary
This position is located in St. Mary's County at the Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) Research and Operations Center (UROC) office. The Coordinator is responsible for managing the administrative workflow for the UROC and for providing senior-level administrative support, primarily to the Director. The Coordinator will also develop a broad and comprehensive understanding of the UROC's mission and ongoing operations and initiatives in order to oversee all administrative functions and to represent UROC when interacting with the university, industry members, government officials, and the general public. The Coordinator will manage and direct the administrative effort at UROC to include internships, coordinating and closely interacting with UROC leadership and colleagues from UMD College Park, the MATRIX Lab, and University System of Maryland, Southern Maryland campus. This position also serves as the on-site resource for UROC's business and financial processes. This includes the management and payment of purchase orders, as well as UROC’s purchasing card. Additionally, this position will coordinate financial entries required to support Workday monthly reconciliations and projections.The A. Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Experience: One (1) year of professional secretarial, clerical, coordinator, or administrative experience. Other: Additional work experience as defined above may be substituted on a year for year basis for up to four (4) years of the required education. Knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures and systems such as filing and record-keeping. Skill in oral and written communication. Skill in the use of Microsoft Office products. Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments.Additional Job Details
