Compensation: $35-$50/hour + Benefits
About the Company:
Our client is a well-established architectural millwork company based in Toronto. They pride themselves on building some of Ontario’s most in demand architectural millwork pieces. They have been in operation for over 30 years and always ensure that they provide their clients with exceptional craftsmanship and uncompromising quality.
They are expanding at a rapid rate and are seeking to add a Shop Foreman to their dynamic team!
Responsibilities:
- Lead daily shop operations
- Communicate daily with management team and all departments within the shop
- Coordinate workflow between CNC, Assembly, Finishing, and Shipping
- Ensure every employee has clear daily priorities
- Supervise shop employees by provide coaching and daily direction
- Monitor production schedules and adjust resources as needed
- Ensure projects are completed according to schedule
- Participate in the Daily 3-Day Production Planning Meeting
- Verify materials, hardware, drawings, and information are available
- Ensure all work meets quality standards
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity by recommending improvements to production processes
- Ensure shop equipment is properly maintained
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in custom millwork or cabinet manufacturing
- Must possess previous leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong understanding of production processes
- Ability to read shop drawings and knowledge of CNC, assembly, finishing, and installation
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities
