Description
We are looking for a Business Performance Analyst to join Packaging Solutions’ Business Unit Northern Europe Controlling team.
This role is part of our ambition to build a modern, AI-enabled analytics capability where data, automation, and business insight drive better decisions and stronger profitability.
Hybrid role, with location in Jönköping, Stockholm, Lahti, Helsinki, or Riga.
Your role
As a Business Performance Analyst, you help transform data, analytics, AI, and automation opportunities into tangible business value.
You work at the intersection of business, finance, analytics, and technology. Your focus is not only on analysing data but on understanding business challenges, identifying opportunities for improvement, and enabling better decision-making through data-driven insights.
Success in this role comes from your ability to challenge assumptions, connect the dots across functions, and translate emerging technologies into practical solutions that improve business performance.
The role reports to the Head of Controlling, BU Northern Europe, Packaging Solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze financial and business data to identify trends, drivers, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Support business stakeholders and controllers with profitability analysis, scenario modelling, and decision-making
- Proactively identify opportunities where AI, automation, and digital tools can improve efficiency, business performance, and insight generation
- Explore external best practices, new technologies, and emerging solutions, and translate them into practical business applications
- Act as a bridge between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring initiatives create measurable value
- Collaborate with IT and data teams to design and continuously improve datasets, analytical models, and reporting capabilities
- Build, maintain, and improve dashboards, reporting, and decision-support tools
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and a reliable single source of truth across analyses and reporting
- Combine and structure data from multiple systems and sources to support business insights
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders across the organisation
- Challenge existing ways of working and drive continuous improvement through data, analytics, and automation
What you bring
- Relevant academic background in finance, business, economics, engineering, analytics, or a related field
- Experience in business analysis, finance, controlling, commercial analysis, performance management, analytics, or a similar field
- Strong interest and experience in leveraging AI, AI Agents, automation, and modern technologies to solve business problems
- Experience with Power BI, Excel, and data analysis tools
- Familiarity with SQL and Python is beneficial,
- Business understanding and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to translate business challenges into analytical approaches and actionable recommendations
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Curiosity to challenge numbers, ask "why", and identify opportunities for improvement
- Structured, proactive, and collaborative way of working
- Fluency in English
