  • Partner with business unit leaders and subject matter experts to understand communication needs, recommend approaches, and deliver accurate, timely content.

  • Coordinate reviews, approvals, distribution timing, and channel execution with Corporate Communications, HR, Legal, and business stakeholders.
  • Maintain business unit communication calendars, editorial plans, distribution lists, and message tracking to ensure coordination and visibility.
  • Support communication measurement by gathering feedback, reviewing engagement data, and recommending improvements to content and channels.
  • Apply Fortrea’s voice, tone, brand standards, and editorial guidelines across business unit communications.
  • Handle sensitive or confidential information with discretion and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Perform all other duties as needed or assigned. This role may require up to 10% domestic or international travel.

Qualifications (Minimum Required):

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, English, marketing, business, or a related field.
  • Fortrea may consider relevant and equivalent experience and successful project outcomes in lieu of educational requirements.
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, message development, and content planning skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, approvals, and stakeholder inputs with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build productive working relationships with business partners and communication colleagues.
  • Experience using Microsoft 365 tools, intranet or employee communication platforms, and basic communication analytics.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and the ability to use them effectively to enhance productivity and development of communication materials, while exercising sound judgement, ensuring accuracy and adhering to organizational standards.
  • English fluency required; additional language proficiency is beneficial for global stakeholder engagement.

Experience (Minimum Required):

  • Proficient years of experience in corporate communications, internal communications, employee communications, public relations, marketing communications, or related communication roles.
  • Experience partnering with business leaders or functional teams to develop communication plans and employee-facing content.
  • Experience managing multiple communication projects, deadlines, and review processes at the same time.

Preferred Qualifications Include:

  • Experience in health care, life sciences, clinical research, pharmaceutical services, or a regulated global business environment.
  • Experience supporting business unit communications, change communications, employee engagement programs, or leadership visibility initiatives.
  • Experience with intranet publishing, newsletter production, town hall support, presentation development, video production or content measurement.
  • Demonstrated ability to simplify complex topics and produce polished communications for global employee audiences.
