Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
As an Application Engineer within the AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) Application team, you will support Lumina and related product lines by developing and validating application capabilities, closing detection gaps, and supporting customer deployments across global accounts (e.g., Unimicron, AT&S, Toppan, Samsung).
Responsibilities include: application testing and specification, defect detection algorithm support, recipe and calibration development, field/customer support, and cross-functional collaboration with R&D and software teams to drive product and process improvements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or related technical field
- Experience with optical inspection, semiconductor/PCB manufacturing, or imaging systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Hands-on experience with application testing, data analysis, and reporting
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional and global teams
- Willingness to support customer engagements, including occasional travel
