Flight Instructor - End of Course (EOC)-1

End of Course Flight Instructors are responsible for delivering quality, professional flight instruction in 14 CFR Parts 61, 91 and 141 environments using a detailed training syllabus. End of course flight instructors are also responsible for conducting 14 CFR Part 141 end of course lessons. Teaching responsibilities consist of flight related courses such as private, instrument, commercial and multi-engine, CFI/CFII ground schools and aviation safety. The end of course flight instructor is responsible for the safe operation of aircraft in which flight instruction is being given. They must determine the student’s proficiency and report back to the Assistant Chief Instructor on their progression. Information of a confidential nature regarding students, fellow employees, or Florida Tech Aviation must be treated as such.

Responsibilities Include:

• The Instructor must maintain an 80% pass rate overall or over the last 10 students

• The Instructor must have satisfactory performance within the following areas:

• Customer Relations/Teamwork

• Record Keeping

• Ensure as much privacy as possible

• Review the student’s training record (both ETA and in PAS Records) to determine if the student has met the requirements for that stage check/End-of-Course Test:

• Syllabus/ETA Course Minimums (especially FAA required times and requirements)

• Syllabus/ETA Training Plan (all previous lessons were satisfactorily completed)

• Syllabus/ETA Grade Sheet Changes (End-of-Course only)

• 710/IACRA completed (End-of-Course only)

• Ground Training Log satisfactorily completed (End-of-Course only)

• FAA Knowledge Test passed (End-of-Course only)

• Required endorsements (End-of-Course only)

• Any additional required documents – TSA, I-20, Letter of authenticity (End-ofCourse only)

Requirements Include:

• Meet the requirements as set forth in 14 CFR Part 141.37

• Must hold CFI and CFII ratings at a minimum

• Must have a minimum of 400 hours dual given

• Must have provided instruction to at least one student in each of the following courses:

• Private

• Instrument (Stage Check at least for Stage Check Instructor)

• Commercial

• CFI (preferable)

• Federal Aviation Authority Safety Team

• Civil Air Patrol

• National Intercollegiate Flight Association (NIFA) competition

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Proven results-oriented and self-motivated work style

Annual Security & Fire Safety Report

The federal Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act) requires colleges and universities, both public and private, participating in federal student aid programs to disclose campus safety information, and imposes certain basic requirements for handling incidents of sexual violence and emergency situations.

Florida Tech’s 2025 Annual Security and Fire Safety Report includes statistics for the previous three years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus; in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by Florida Tech; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from, the campus.

The numbers provided include crime statistics that were reported to local law enforcement agencies, campus security and other Campus Security Authorities.

The report also includes institutional policy statements regarding campus safety and security measures; descriptions of prevention and awareness programs; related university procedures and important guidance; and other essential safety information.

Official Transcripts

Official transcripts of all collegiate work must be sent directly from the attended institution to the Office of Human Resources prior to the first day of employment. All international degrees must have a course-by-course official evaluation and translation sent to the Human Resources Office directly from an evaluation company affiliated with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services, Inc. (NACES).
