Description
Reports to: Director Of Quality
Location: Tulsa, OK
Cooperates with: Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Project Management & Tech Services
Primary Responsibility Serve as the primary quality liaison between the company and its customers, ensuring customer requirements are understood, communicated, and consistently met. The CQE drives customer satisfaction by managing quality concerns, leading root cause investigations, coordinating corrective actions, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain functions.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary quality contact for assigned customers.
- Respond to customer quality inquiries, complaints, and concerns in a timely manner.
- Participate in customer meetings, audits, and quality reviews.
- Communicate customer requirements and expectations to internal teams.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships focused on quality performance and continuous improvement.
- Lead investigations of customer complaints, returns, and nonconformance reports.
- Facilitate root cause analysis using methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, and Fault Tree Analysis.
- Ensure timely closure of customer quality issues and provide comprehensive responses.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Maintain quality records, reports, and documentation related to customer quality performance.
- Monitor customer quality metrics, including PPM, warranty claims, returns, and complaint trends.
- Analyze data to identify recurring issues and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare and present quality performance reports to customers and leadership.
- Track and report corrective action effectiveness.
- Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, and Program Management teams to resolve quality concerns.
- Support product launches and customer qualification activities.
- Participate in risk assessments, process improvement projects, and quality planning activities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing defects and improving customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Customer Quality, Manufacturing Quality, or related roles.
- Experience leading root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
- Knowledge of quality management systems and industry standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality data analysis tools.
