Opportunity to Transition to Full-Time Day Shift
Red River Recovery Center – Dilworth, MN
Temporary Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 3:00 PM–11:30 PM | No Weekends
Red River Recovery Center is seeking a dependable and compassionate Temporary Evening Recovery Support Specialist to join our residential treatment team.
This position will begin as a 7-week evening assignment, working Monday–Friday from 3:00 PM–11:30 PM, with no weekends required. After the temporary period, there will be an opportunity to transition into a permanent full-time day-shift position.
This is a great fit for someone who can work evenings now but is ultimately looking for a consistent, long-term daytime position.
What Your Shift May Look Like
In this role, you will work directly with adults participating in residential substance use disorder treatment while helping maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment.
Responsibilities may include:
- Providing direct support and supervision to clients in the residential setting
- Helping clients follow daily schedules, house expectations, and program routines
- Completing regular client check-ins and communicating concerns to appropriate staff
- Supporting clients through difficult moments while maintaining professional boundaries
- Documenting client interactions, concerns, progress, and incidents as required
- Assisting with evening programming, activities, and residential routines
- Answering phones and helping with basic administrative duties
- Monitoring common areas and helping maintain an organized and respectful environment
- Communicating important information to counselors, nursing staff, leadership, and other team members
- Helping create a calm, recovery-focused atmosphere throughout the facility
- Following confidentiality requirements, agency policies, and professional standards
- Assisting with other residential program needs as assigned
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is reliable, compassionate, observant, and comfortable working with individuals in a residential recovery setting.
Qualifications include:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in residential treatment, behavioral health, human services, recovery services, or a similar setting preferred
- Ability to establish and maintain appropriate professional boundaries
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and nonjudgmental approach
- Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to work independently while also functioning well as part of a team
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to successfully complete required background checks
