Director, Enterprise Strategy & Transformation (ES&T), Royal Bank of Canada US, New York, NY:

 

Perform comprehensive strategic reviews and analyses leveraging frameworks, approaches, tools and methodologies and develop robust recommendations to support Group Executive, segment Operating Committees, and lines of business. Ensure growth strategies are well developed, articulated and aligned across businesses and with enterprise perspective/priorities, and proactively identify benefits such as revenue streams or cost savings opportunities. Support the annual enterprise strategic development process, business portfolio review, and related senior leader off sites/events to advance RBC’s strategy. Produce materials for Group Executive and Board for review, discussion, and decision. Gain the position of trusted advisor and help facilitate trade-off / prioritization decisions with senior leaders, strategists, functions, cross-functional project teams and colleagues by providing rigorous strategic insight based on thorough research and analysis. Lead projects end-to-end exhibiting complete ‘ownership’ of the problem, continuously pushing the thinking, while managing stakeholders, junior team members, timelines, and deliverables. Mentor and coach Senior Managers and Managers on the team on core strategy skills, professional development, and career management.

Telecommuting permitted up to 1 day per week.

Full-time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, $203,000.00 per year.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

Masters degree in Business administration, Economics, International Development or a related field and 3 years of related work experience.

Must have 3 years experience in:

 

• Corporate Strategy, Management Consulting, Capital Markets or product management and strategy within the Financial Services, FinTech or technology industry.

• Evaluate, develop, or scale new and emerging businesses, including digital business models, platform-based offerings, or technology-enabled products and services.

• Design, manage, and implement complex, cross-functional projects, including defining scope and objectives, managing timelines and stakeholders, and delivering measurable business outcomes.

• Develop and build complex financial models associated with business cases, Bank P&L and balance sheet multiple lines of business in Capital Markets, Global Asset Management, Personal Banking and Wealth.

• Operating model design, governance and decision rights, organization chart implications, and change management.

• Project design, management and implementation including translating complex problem statements, determining scope and translate them into discrete projects.

• Support the annual enterprise strategic development process, business portfolio review.

The base salary for this job is $203,000.00 per year.  This salary does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
