Description
Dematic Corp. has a need for a Visualization Engineer in our LSSMU group. The primary responsibility for the Visualization Engineer is to work with other members of the Lifecycle Solutions & Services - Modernizations and Upgrades (LSSMU) team to execute Visualization SCADA projects which include upgrading legacy systems as well as developing and installing new Visualization systems. Additionally, they will assist LSSMU project teams with updating and modifying previously installed Visualization systems as material handling equipment is installed, removed, or enhanced at customer sites.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $82,500.00 - $158,500.00 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
Tasks and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have experience working in the material handling industry and industrial automation. Candidates must have the below qualifications:
- Experience in HMI/SCADA programming (Iconics, Ignition, Wonderware, FactoryTalk View)
- Knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLC programming software (Logix/Studio5000, RSLogix500)
- Siemens PLCs are a plus
- Advanced skills in MS Excel
- Basic understanding of physical layout and electrical schematic drawings
- Willing to work overtime
- Willing to work weekends
- Travel not expected to exceed 30%
- Detailed and task oriented
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Works effectively with others in a team environment
Job Family Responsibilities
- Work within the framework of Dematic Visualization standards to implement solutions that improve operational uptime of material handling systems
- Assist customers in the endeavor of staving off software obsolescence and maintaining cybersecurity as it pertains to Dematic products and solutions installed at customer sites
- Participates in the design of semi-complex to complex systems that integrate hardware and software
- Participates in recommending ideas related to productivity improvement, cost reduction and improvement in customer satisfaction
- Assist in the development of new projects by analyzing material handling systems to determine appropriate effort and scope required to implement Visualization systems

Education
- Typically, a BS degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline is required
Knowledge
- Iconics Genesis32 and Genesis64 SCADA software
- Ignition SCADA software
- Programming skills are a plus
- Python, Java, C#, VisualBasic
- SQL and databases
- Knowledge of various industrial communication protocols and architectures such as OPC and Ethernet/IP
- Windows Server configuration
- PLC programming
- Read and comprehend PLC programs a must
- Modify and write PLC programs a plus
- Control system design and commissioning not required but a considerable plus
Experience
- Generally, 2+ years of successful experience in area of responsibility and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge, as presented above
- Experience with industrial automation is preferred
