Few things bring more joy than the birth of a child. As an obstetrics/post-partum nurse, you will be a part of the team that helps more than 9,000 families grow each year. You will help educate new parents and growing families with the tools they need for this new chapter in their life.

From education and discharge planning to lactation support, your role leads to happy, healthy discharges for parents and baby. Both Community Regional Medical Center and Clovis Community Medical Center have been recognized by the Joint Commission for excellence in perinatal care. These high standards for integrated, patient-centered care are met as a team. In this role, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and provide support throughout the women’s service line. The Clovis OB unit has 40 beds with a 1:4 or lower patient:nurse ratio. The Community Regional OB unit has 49 beds with a 1:4 or lower patient:nurse ratio.

Qualifications

Education• High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE), or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred Experience• Consistent demonstration of Novice / Advance Beginner clinical nursing practice proficiency required Licenses and Certifications• RN - Current and valid Registered Nurse license to work within the state of California required• BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
