About the role

Head of Energy Solutions

 

Lead AGL's Energy Solutions business by driving the strategy, growth and delivery of innovative customer energy solutions. This role brings together commercial, sales, project development, engineering, operations, delivery and asset management functions to transform market opportunities into safe, customer-focused and commercially successful outcomes.

 

As the Head of Energy Solutions, you will set the strategic direction and operating model for the portfolio, ensuring excellence across the entire customer and project lifecycle. You will be accountable for portfolio growth, commercial and operational performance, governance, capability development and risk management, while leading high-performing teams to deliver sustainable value for customers and AGL. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of AGL's energy solutions offering, influence strategic growth initiatives and lead a business that is helping customers navigate the energy transition.

 

In this role will be accountable for

 

• Lead the strategy, operating model and growth agenda for Energy Solutions, aligning customer, market, technology and regulatory priorities to deliver sustainable business outcomes.
• Drive portfolio growth and commercial performance across the full customer lifecycle, from opportunity identification and deal negotiation through to delivery and long-term customer value.
• Own financial, operational and customer outcomes, including revenue, margin, forecasting, resource allocation, productivity, customer satisfaction and employee engagement.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams across sales, project development, engineering, operations, delivery, installation and asset management, building capability and fostering a high-performing culture.
• Ensure excellence in safety, risk management, governance and customer experience, while leading key stakeholder relationships, commercial negotiations and continuous improvement initiatives.

 

Who We're Looking For

 

• Extensive leadership experience in complex energy, infrastructure, commercial, engineering, operations or delivery environments, with a proven ability to lead leaders and drive organisational change.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, including accountability for revenue, margin, operational performance and strategic decision-making in complex business environments.
• Demonstrated success developing and executing growth, sales and operating strategies, with extensive experience leading major customer opportunities and complex commercial negotiations.
• Proven expertise across project delivery, engineering, asset management, commercial contracts, governance, risk management, contractor management and regulatory compliance.
• Strategic, influential and safety-focused leader with the ability to build high-performing teams, engage senior stakeholders and navigate complex customer, operational and commercial challenges.
