Field Supervisor - Telecommunications Operations & Maintenance

At Service Stream, we're looking for an experienced Field Supervisor to lead a team of nbn technicians across our Operations & Maintenance portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on telecommunications leader who thrives in the field, enjoys developing people, and is passionate about safety, customer outcomes and network performance.

As a highly visible leader, you'll spend the majority of your time supporting technicians in the field, managing escalations, improving performance, and ensuring delivery against critical network and service KPIs.

What you'll be doing

• Leading, mentoring and developing a team of telecommunications technicians
• Driving safety culture through toolbox talks, coaching, field observations and compliance activities
• Managing workforce scheduling, resource allocation and daily operational delivery
• Monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs), quality outcomes and customer experience measures
• Providing field-based technical support and escalation management
• Conducting quality audits and ensuring work is completed to contractual and network standards
• Building strong relationships with customers, client representatives, local authorities and internal stakeholders
• Identifying training opportunities and implementing performance improvement initiatives
• Supporting the delivery of reliable network outcomes while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction

What we're looking for

You may currently be a Team Leader, Senior Technician, Workforce Supervisor or Field Supervisor within telecommunications and are ready to take the next step in your leadership career.

To be successful, you'll bring:

• Demonstrated leadership experience managing field-based teams
• Telecommunications industry experience, ideally within nbn, fixed line, copper, fibre, maintenance or fault restoration environments
• Strong understanding of operational KPIs, quality assurance and customer service delivery
• Experience coaching technicians and driving team performance
• The ability to confidently manage technical escalations and complex field issues
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach and commitment to continuous improvement
