Vice President Creation Hub Leader North America, Perfumery & Beauty – Princeton, NJ
Location: Princeton, NJ, US
Step into a role where creativity, science, and business ambition come together to shape the future of fragrance creation in North America. As VP Creation Hub Leader North America, you’ll guide one of the industry’s most dynamic and multidisciplinary creative organizations, bringing together perfumers, fragrance development managers, evaluators, and lab experts around a shared vision: delivering breakthrough ideas, outstanding customer experiences, and sustainable growth.
Reporting to the Regional Consumer Brands Leader North America, this role will serve as the leader responsible for all fragrance creation capabilities across the North America region and will be a key member of the Regional Consumer Brands North America Leadership Team, contributing directly to the definition and execution of regional strategy.
You’ll champion creation, inspiring a broad creative community, and lead the Brief-to-Adoption (B2A) engine that powers value creation across the region. With a blend of strategic thinking, creativity, commercial acumen, and transformational leadership, you’ll help shape the next chapter of dsm-firmenich’s creative excellence in North America.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Inspire, develop, and empower Perfumers, Fragrance Development Managers, Evaluators, and Lab teams to create fragrances that delight consumers and win briefs, promoting unity, equitable resource access, engagement, and high performance across a sizeable, multidisciplinary organization
- Lead and oversee all fragrance creation capabilities across North America, ensuring strong alignment between creative resources, customer priorities, and regional business strategy
- Actively shape the development and careers of team members, building a highly engaged environment that supports growth, accountability, collaboration, and succession planning
- Collaborate closely with leadership, Creation Excellence, commercial teams, and cross-functional partners to allocate the right resources to the right projects, driving growth, customer intimacy, and business retention
- Lead, elevate, and continuously refine the Brief-to-Adoption (B2A) process to accelerate innovation, improve fragrance vitality and adoption, strengthen win rates, and ensure seamless activation with measurable business impact
- Own and oversee critical Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), creation excellence, lab efficiency, pipeline management, resource deployment, and contribution to core commercial metrics — ensuring strong prioritization, data integrity, continuous improvement, and high-performing creative operations
We Bring:
- The opportunity to lead, shape, and inspire a world-class fragrance creation organization across North America, comprising some of the industry’s most talented creative and technical experts
- A highly collaborative workplace where imagination, curiosity, innovation, and customer partnership drive growth and differentiation
- The ability to directly influence regional strategy, customer success, creative excellence, and future capability development within one of the world’s leading fragrance houses
- A company deeply committed to sustainability, inclusion, scientific excellence, digital transformation, and responsible creation.
- Continuous growth through mentorship, leadership exposure, cross-functional collaboration, and engagement with global innovation communities
- An environment that values diversity, courage, accountability, learning, and entrepreneurial thinking
You Bring:
- Significant experience in fragrance creation, product development, consumer goods, beauty, or related creative leadership environments, ideally with responsibility for large cross-functional organizations
- Strong people leadership with the ability to inspire multidisciplinary creative teams, build credibility with technical and commercial stakeholders, and develop talent while fostering an inclusive and engaged organization
- Excellent communication, influence, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to connect teams, simplify complexity, drive alignment, and represent the Creation Hub both internally and externally
- A transformational leadership mindset, comfortable challenging the status quo, driving change, balancing operational execution with long-term innovation, and motivating teams through periods of growth and evolution
- Strategic and commercially oriented thinking, with the ability to anticipate market trends, customer needs, and business opportunities while positioning fragrance innovation as a key differentiator
- Bachelor’s degree in related field such as business, engineering, marketing, science, or related discipline
