TITLE: Home Health Aide (HHA incl. STNA, CNA, PCA, or DoDD DSP)
LOCATION: Westfield, IN (Hamilton County) and surrounding areas.
SPECIALIZATIONS:
- Must be listed and in good standing on the Indiana State Aide Registry, and have:
- Either Active CNA or STNA certification + 1 or more years of paid experience
- Or +2 or more years of paid home health experience for HHA or PCA without certification.
- Additional Medication Certifications, Hoyer lift experience, specific disease-state care experience, etc., are highly desirable but not required.
SCHEDULE & DETAILS:
- Start immediately with Part-Time Hours: 4-10 hours per week
- Requires Shift Availability: Weekdays (M-F) - Daytime hours (7/9am - 4-6pm)
- Requires consistent week-to-week availability (Long-term employment commitment).
- Additional Clients/Hours may be secured over the following 30-60 days, within your agreed-upon travel radius and availability.
- Additional Clients/Hours may also be available during Weekends and/or Weekday-Evenings if more hours (part-time or full-time) are desired, however ability to start immediately with only the listed 4-10 hours per week is required.

TRAVEL:
- Willingness to travel to client's residence 2-4x/week in Westfield, IN is required (regardless of your residence location).
- If additional clients/hours are desired, travel up to a 30-minute radius (from your home) is required for all caregivers.
- Up to 45- or 60-minute client travel radius (from your home) is highly desired for caregivers seeking additional Part-Time hours, and may be required for caregivers seeking Full-Time hours.

We are seeking a highly skilled, compassionate, and professional Home Healthcare Aide (HHA, PCA, CHHA, CNA, STNA) to join our team and provide services to clients in and around Westfield, IN and throughout Marion County and adjacent counties within travel radius.

STARTING PAY RATE:
- Accredited STNA / CNA: $16 - $19 per hour
- HHA / CHHA with Experience: $15 - $17 per hour
Hourly Pay is based on experience, travel, qualifications and certifications, skill specializations, positive employment & job tenure history, positive professional references, and overall client & team fit. HCN pays weekly, on Fridays, via direct deposit into your bank account.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be listed and in good standing on the Indiana State Aide Registry.
- Meet Indiana's training and/or certification requirements, including successful completion of a formal certification training program and/or HCN's written skills test and competency evaluation, and specifications of contracted agencies for which services are being provided.
- Home care experience and/or credentials (incl. CHHA, CNA, STNA) are desirable, but HHAs / Caregivers with 1+ years of paid experience - or those committed to building a caregiver career with our agency - are encouraged to apply.
- DD caregiving experience is a bonus.
- At least 1+ year of verifiable experience in home care or caregiving setting.
- Must be at lease eighteen (18) years of age.
- High school diploma or GED.
- CPR and First Aide Certifications (active/current certs preferred but may also be obtained prior to hire date through HCN or accredited third party).
- Beyond physical care, a willingness to regularly perform light housekeeping, Meal preparation/feeding, laundry, and other basic Activities of Daily Living is required and essential to success in this role.
- Ability to perform all main physical tasks on a regular basis, and willingness to do so safely, is required. Typical Physical Demands include:

POSITION SUMMARY:
- A successful Home Health Aide with our agency, Pediatric Nursing Specialists of Indiana, provides personal care services under the direction of the Registered Nurse or Therapist. The Home Health Aide is assigned to specific clients by the Registered Nurse or other appropriate professional and performs services for clients as necessary to maintain their personal comfort and safety in the home.

Report to: RN Case Manager / RN Supervisor
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
Performs simple procedures as an extension of therapy services under the direction and supervision of the therapist.
- Range of motion exercises
- Assistance in ambulation or exercises
Performs personal care activities, including by not limited to:
- Bathing
- Shampooing
- Skin care/nail care
- Oral hygiene
- Shaving
- Dressing
Performs household services essential to health care at home, including but not limited to:
- Meal preparation/feeding
- Laundry
- Light Housekeeping
- Assists in the patient in taking medications under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse. This includes opening a container or pill caddy & handing it to the patient, but does not include administration of the medications.
- Knows and follows infection control policies including proper hand washing techniques.
- Reports any observed or reported changes in the client's condition and/or needs to the Registered Nurse.
- Documents care provided and completes the forms required for the client's records. Completes the appropriate records to document cares given and pertinent observations.
- Promotes personal safety and a safe environment for clients by observing infection control practices, following agency guidelines, and reporting unsafe situations to the Supervisor/Case Manager.
- Demonstrates safe practice in the use of equipment. Does not use equipment until orientation has been provided. Notifies supervisor of educational needs.
- Communicates effectively with all members of the interdisciplinary team through verbal reports, participation in staff meetings, and team conferences, as requested.
- Treats patients and families with respect. Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
- Accepts and fulfills assignments with the agency. Exercise good judgment in accepting assignments.
- Participates in required in-service programs to meet compliance requirements. Identifies learning needs to agency supervisor.
