About the Role
Man Group is seeking a Regulatory Operations Analyst to join its Regulatory Reporting function. This role is responsible for ensuring the firm's ongoing compliance with key regulatory reporting regimes - including EMIR, MiFID, and SFTR - by coordinating across business areas, maintaining robust operational processes, and acting as a key point of contact between the firm, internal stakeholders, and external regulators/vendors. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented, deadline-driven professional to work at the intersection of regulatory compliance, operations, and technology within a leading global investment firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of Regulatory Reporting requirements across Man Group, with a particular focus on EMIR, MiFID, and SFTR obligations.
- Coordinate contributions from all relevant business areas to ensure timely and accurate reporting, securing sign-off on submitted data within a planned delivery schedule to meet regulatory filing deadlines.
- Maintain and continually update operational regulatory reporting policies and procedures.
- Monitor and drive improvements to regulatory reporting processes across business areas, partnering with stakeholders to identify and implement enhancements.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to business areas on the regulatory reporting treatment of products and transactions.
- Assess and advise the business on the regulatory reporting impact of business change initiatives.
- Liaise with external reporting vendors to support ongoing reporting requirements, including coordinating and/or chairing KPI, governance, and oversight meetings. Attend regular regulatory reporting meetings to stay abreast of evolving reporting requirements.
- Act as a liaison between the firm and regulators, responding to regulatory queries as needed.
Skills & Competencies
- Approximately 1-3 years' relevant experience, ideally gained within a regulatory reporting or investment operations environment.
- A keen interest in Investment Management and a genuine desire to build a career within the industry.
- Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills
- An interest in automation and process improvement, with enthusiasm for using tools such as Excel, Python, or other technologies to streamline manual processes and drive efficiency.
- Proven ability to work under time pressure and consistently meet hard monthly deadlines.
- Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively across front, middle, and back office functions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently at all levels of the organization.
- Experience leading project work related to regulatory developments, from both a business operations and systems perspective.
- Strong data consolidation and manipulation skills, with excellent proficiency in Excel and other reporting tools.
- Python skills are beneficial but not essential.
- Comfortable and credible when engaging with senior internal management and external regulatory bodies.
