Description
VHR Blueprint is conducting a search for an experienced Compensation Consultant for a confidential opportunity in the Philadelphia area.
This opportunity is ideal for a compensation professional who combines strong technical expertise with client-facing consulting and business development experience. The Compensation Consultant will lead and support complex client engagements, develop compensation strategies and programs, advise senior leaders, and help grow client relationships.
What You'll Do
- Develop compensation strategies, philosophies, and programs that support talent attraction and retention.
- Advise senior management and HR leaders on compensation strategy, pay structures, market competitiveness, job architecture, and incentive design.
- Lead and manage complex compensation projects and client engagements.
- Review and interpret compensation analyses and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior-level clients.
- Provide guidance and oversight to junior team members.
- Identify new client opportunities and support business development efforts.
- Develop proposals and Statements of Work (SOWs), participate in contract discussions, and help move opportunities through the sales cycle.
- Leverage compensation technology, analytics, and emerging AI-enabled tools to support client solutions.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of compensation consulting or related HR advisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of compensation strategy, market analysis, job architecture, incentive plan design, and regulatory considerations.
- Experience managing multiple complex projects and client engagements.
- Demonstrated business development experience, including developing client opportunities, proposals/SOWs, managing the sales process, and winning new business.
- Experience advising senior executives and HR leaders.
- Strong communication, presentation, analytical, and relationship-management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred Experience
Experience working with global or complex organizations, compensation management or survey tools, advanced analytics, and technology-enabled compensation solutions is highly valued.
Work Arrangement: Hybrid | Minimum 3 days per week in office or with clients
