Description
## What you’ll do
- Build, lead, and develop a team of Electrical Engineers responsible for electrical architecture, design, integration, technical risk management, and other electrical engineering deliverables for latest semiconductor wafer-processing equipment with the technical depth and leadership capabilities to support product development programs as well as product sustaining activities. Manage team performance, workforce planning, resource allocation, hiring, onboarding, talent development, and succession planning.
- Assign engineering resources to development programs based on business priorities, program complexity, technical risk, and the competencies required for successful execution.
- Develop engineers’ ability to perform in complex cross-functional teams and technical discussions, resolve conflicts, and make sound engineering decisions.
- Provide technical oversight of electrical architecture and design, including power distribution, control electronics, sensors and actuators, grounding, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), and electrical safety, ensuring alignment with product requirements and applicable standards. Act as reviewer and decision maker in design reviews. Give technical guidance on design, testing and validation in line with SEMI, customer and company standards.
- Identify electrical design conflicts and cross-functional integration issues early, and drive resolution with Systems, Mechanical, Software, Manufacturing, and Service teams to protect product performance and business objectives.
- Oversee electrical integration across development programs, ensuring electrical hardware, mechanical subsystems, and tool software work together to meet specifications for performance, reliability, and safety.
- Ensure timely delivery of electrical deliverables like schematics, bills of materials, cabling and interface definitions, risk assessments, test and verification plans and results, and engineering documentation supporting design release.
- Improve electrical engineering methods, tools, processes, and best practices, and foster a culture of technical excellence, accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and ownership.
- Represent Electrical Engineering in program, technical roadmap, and management reviews, and act as the escalation point for electrical engineering issues and resource priorities.
## Who we’re looking for
- Bachelos’s, Master’s or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline, such as Electronics, Mechatronics, or Systems Engineering.
- 8+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience in the development of complex, multidisciplinary products or equipment.
- leadership experience as a people manager or as a technical lead.
- Strong understanding of electrical product development, including requirements, architecture, interfaces, design reviews, technical risk management, verification and validation, reliability, electrical safety, and design release.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, allocate resources effectively, and drive timely resolution of technical and organizational issues.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse internal organizations, customers, suppliers, and external partners.
- Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills, with sound judgment and the ability to make decisions under ambiguity.
- Excellent English oral and written communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with engineering teams and senior management.
- Flexibility, accuracy, and attention to detail in a dynamic environment with competing priorities and changing program needs.
### Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in semiconductor equipment or other high-tech equipment environments.
- Strengths in resource planning, organizational development, coaching, mentoring, and talent development.
- Experience leading cross-functional collaboration across multiple sites and working with suppliers and development partners.
- Business awareness and the ability to connect electrical architecture and design decisions with product performance, reliability, cost, schedule, manufacturability, and serviceability.
