Job Description
As a Security Officer Hospital Screening in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in the healthcare industry. You will help create a welcoming, secure environment by monitoring access points, screening visitors, and responding to security-related concerns. You will remain visible, communicate professionally with staff and patients, and provide exceptional customer service. - Provide customer service to patients, staff, visitors, and/or vendors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies at an educational location.
- Screen people, packages, bags, and/or materials entering designated areas using established procedures and approved screening equipment.
- Verify identification, access credentials, and visitor authorization, and direct individuals to appropriate campus resources or locations.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entrances, screening areas, and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
- Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
