Location: Remote from Latin America
Position Type: Full-time
Salary: $2,800 – $3,200 USD/month
Schedule: Generally flexible between 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM US Eastern Time (ET), aligned with US business hours (CT/ET) for set team meetings.
Our Client is a leading venture investment firm operating under the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS). Dedicated to scaling high-growth businesses and portfolio companies, our client operates at the intersection of strategic capital, operational excellence, and global talent acquisition. Built on a culture of leadership, high standards, accountability, and direct communication, our client provides an environment where HR compliance, structured global hiring engines, and process-driven talent operations directly fuel enterprise expansion.
Our Client is seeking an experienced, compliance-minded, and results-driven Director of People Operations & Global Talent to take full ownership of internal HR operations and build an offshore hiring pipeline. Reporting directly to the Partner, this professional will transition US HR compliance from an external fractional HR firm within 90 days, mitigate misclassification and employment risks, and recruit world-class global talent across finance, operations, and administrative roles. Operating as the strategic engine for global workforce operations, the Director will establish compliance playbooks, leverage modern AI tools, and ensure high-quality HR administration across the firm and its portfolio companies.

-
Verifies EPLI (Employment Practices Liability Insurance) coverage across all portfolio companies by Day 60 to maintain zero compliance incidents.
-
Manages multi-state payroll, FLSA classification, leave administration, employee handbooks, and policy development in close coordination with outside employment counsel.
Global Talent Acquisition & Offshore Pipeline Building
-
Builds and executes the offshore recruitment engine to source, screen, and close high-caliber candidates in finance, operations, and administrative functions at a structural cost advantage.
-
Leads full-cycle searches, launching key requisitions (such as offshore finance/accounting roles) within the first week against strict scorecard parameters.
-
Develops a comprehensive offshore talent playbook by Day 90, including regional salary benchmark databases, sourcing channel maps, and candidate screening frameworks adapted for remote talent.
-
Maintains lead management and candidate candidate logs using structured interview methodologies to ensure US-hours viability and long-term retention.
Operations, Infrastructure & Strategic HR Integration
-
Evaluates and implements global employment infrastructure (comparing direct contractor models, EOR platforms like Deel/Remote/Multiplier, and foreign entities) backed by misclassification risk assessments.
-
Standardizes contractor agreements featuring termination-for-convenience clauses, 30-day notice periods, IP assignment, and strict confidentiality protections.
-
Integrates seamlessly into the firm’s EOS cadence, running weekly L10 accountability meetings, tracking scorecards, and setting strategic Quarterly Rocks.
-
Introduces retention and benefits frameworks tailored for contractor models, including performance-based Q4 bonuses, health/internet stipends, and localized holiday calendars.
-
Earns the SHRM-SCP certification within the first 6 months of employment (preparation completed within 90 days).
