Facilities Technician

summary/objective

Under general supervision, provides support for the facility and maintenance-related needs for all buildings and grounds.

 

essential functions

• Provides general and detailed maintenance supervision (direct or indirect), including patching, painting, hardware repairs, and other repair/replacement work as required.
• Performs routine facility and equipment maintenance.
• Performs routine daily inspections of assigned buildings and spaces.
• Complete general and detailed cleaning of all interior and exterior spaces (with assistance as needed).
• Executes all documentation for work performed within the guidance of governing SOPs.
• Provide support for Manufacturing/Packaging as deemed necessary
• Other duties as assigned.

• Ability to read and follow technical instructions
• Demonstrates a systematic approach to problem-solving and troubleshooting.
• Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated time management skills, including multi-tasking.
• Works independently with limited supervision.

 

required education and experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with HVAC, electrical, and plumbing equipment required.

 

position type/expected hours of work
This is a full-time position.  Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, but extended (earlier or later) work times or weekend work may be required.

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout facilities.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at times.
• Must be able to bend, lift, stretch, climb, and crawl to maintain equipment and buildings.
• Must be able to perform work in a variety of weather conditions.
