Job Description:

About the Role

As a Facilities Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe, efficient, and reliable working environment across our site. Working as part of the Facilities team, you will support the day-to-day operation of building systems, coordinate contractor activities, and help ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. This is a hands-on position offering variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to contribute directly to the smooth running of the facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, doors, and general building infrastructure.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests, equipment faults, and emergency situations, ensuring minimal disruption to site operations.
• Troubleshoot building and equipment issues, implementing effective corrective actions and preventative maintenance solutions.
• Perform general facilities work including painting, basic carpentry, minor construction tasks, space setups, and equipment installations.
• Coordinate and supervise external contractors, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with company standards.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and inventory of tools, spare parts, and consumables.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• 2–5 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a related technical role.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems.
• Ability to read manuals, schematics and basic technical drawings.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Valid driver’s licence.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills, including the use of maintenance management and reporting systems.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work independently.
• Good communication, attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Preferred Qualifications

• Trade certification in an electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, or related discipline.
• Knowledge of building regulations, environmental requirements, and compliance standards.
