BASIC FUNCTION

This position has overall design engineering responsibility of products manufactured in Changzhou and sub-assemblies sourced in SE Asia.  This person needs to be fluent in English in order to interface with design teams in France, Singapore and United States.  Technical scope includes a working knowledge of electrical and mechanical theory for genset, alternator and wire harness. This position will be responsible to establish new engineering standards and provide technical developments and technologies. Contribute design proposals, ideas, applications and technical articles. 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

1.     Take responsibility of project for new product which will be launched in CZ.

2.     Validate designs through testing or calculations to meet project schedules and be able to share results of tests with engineering management in France, Singapore and US.

3.     Work with vendors to design, specify and select components associated with products.

4.     Lead cross team to  follow up project timeline.

5.     Advises management on cost reduction, product developing and results when new product launched.

6.     Manages and executes various programs that lead to improvements in quality and costs.

7.     Establish Product Specification with Marketing department as well as Engineering Specification. Assist in customer presentations and provide designs responsive to unique customer requirements.

8.     Work with Purchase, Quality dept to develop the ES device independently , like ATS, switchgear, synchronized panel.

9.     Work with ES project team ,get requirement and analyze and give overall design and share idea & solution.

10.  Other assignments by the manager.

RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS

Supervisory Relationships:

1.     Report to Sr. Manager-Product Engineering, PS China

         Organization Relationships:

1.     Frequently contact with Purchasing and Sourcing team/ Engineering/Sales/Production.

 2.  Frequently contact with Sales, Marketing and Service.

        

External Business Relationships:

1.     Contact with Customer

2.     Contact with Supplier

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

At least Bachelor Degree of electrical design or automation.

At least three years related Manufacturing and Design experience in JV manufacturing Company.

Excellent spoken/written English and computer skill are essential.

Experience in Continuous Improvement is preferred

Experience in electrical control (not state owned) is a plus.
