Software Engineer

Software Engineer Maritime Planning Associates is looking for a Software Engineer to join our team of skilled professionals. We are a veteran owned small business that specializes in maritime planning, hazard assessment, and research. You will help shape our future projects and possible challenges, while building lifelong relationships. Responsibilities: - Work with product managers to brainstorm, design, develop, test, and maintain software products- Map complex business process flows and define related software development approaches- Develop professional high quality code supporting product requirements - Research various technology related topics- Monitor and troubleshoot existing product performance- Participate in product launches and assist with product demos- Work with other engineers, product managers, analysts, and researchers to solve problems Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline- At least five years of prior software engineering experience- Skilled in coding Python, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other programming languages- Proficient with processing large multidimensional data sets- Experience developing and deploying containerized solutions and REST web services- Working knowledge of software development methods, practices, and technology- Aptitude and prior experience with software product architecture, design, development, and unit testing- Ability to set and meet goals, making decisions, and problem solving- U.S. citizenship  If you meet the qualifications and have an interest in this role, please apply now.
