Housekeeper

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of a large-scale private residence and requires exceptional attention to detail, discretion, and experience managing the comprehensive housekeeping needs of an expansive home.

Your Role as a Housekeeper

As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness, organization, and presentation throughout a large-scale private residence. This role includes routine and deep cleaning, laundry and linen care, household organization, kitchen upkeep, and other services necessary to keep the home comfortable, well-maintained, and prepared for residents and guests.

Success in this position requires a high level of professionalism, efficiency, trust, and discretion when handling personal belongings, household information, and day-to-day activities within the residence.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all areas of the private residence, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, living areas, offices, and common spaces
• Perform routine and deep-cleaning duties, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sanitizing, polishing, and cleaning appliances and fixtures
• Make beds, change linens, and maintain an organized inventory of towels, bedding, and household items
• Launder, fold, iron, and properly store clothing, linens, and other household textiles
• Maintain kitchens by cleaning surfaces and appliances, unloading dishwashers, washing dishes, and supporting general kitchen organization
• Organize closets, cabinets, drawers, storage areas, and other household spaces as needed
• Monitor household cleaning and personal-care supplies and communicate when replenishment is needed
• Safely and appropriately use cleaning products, equipment, and tools
• Identify and promptly communicate maintenance issues, damaged items, safety concerns, and supply needs
• Prepare the residence for guests, special events, and scheduled visits
• Handle household items, personal belongings, and confidential information with care and discretion
• Assist with occasional errands, pet care, and other household tasks as assigned
• Maintain professional, respectful, and service-oriented relationships with household members, guests, vendors, and service providers
• Complete daily, weekly, monthly, and event-specific task lists quickly, thoroughly, and efficiently

Our Ideal Candidate for this Role

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Experience

• 1+ years of experience in professional housekeeping, residential cleaning, hospitality, hotel services, commercial or large-scale cleaning, or a related field
• Previous experience providing housekeeping services within a private residence is a plus
