Description

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES 

1. Commercial Performance Steering & Financial Analysis 

  • Lead financial analysis and performance diagnostics to support profitable growth across channels, customers, brands, and portfolios. 

  • Provide actionable insights on sales performance, profitability drivers, stock-in-trade, depletions, market dynamics, and investment effectiveness to support commercial decision-making. 

  • Partner with Commercial and Trade Marketing teams to foster commercial strategy through scenario modelling, forecasting, and fact-based financial recommendations. 

  • Lead resource allocation analysis across channels, customers, and brands to ensure investments are directed toward the highest value growth opportunities and strategic priorities. 

  • Evaluate new product launches, customer initiatives, and business opportunities through comprehensive P&L simulations, risk assessments, and strategic recommendations. 

  • Support reviews of PR Vietnam key battlegrounds and strategic priorities, identifying performance gaps, opportunities, and actionable measures toward objectives. 

 

2. Business Performance Management & Reporting 

  • Oversee the integrity, automation, and scalability of commercial data and reporting systems, including sell-in, depletion, trade inventory, pricing, A&D, and A&P, ensuring timely and accurate reporting across platforms such as Excel, Power BI, and Polaris. 

  • Lead the preparation and delivery of high-impact performance reviews, forecasts, executive dashboards, and business updates for internal and regional stakeholders, covering Net Sales, Volume, Gross Profit, Operating Profit, A&P, trade investment, and customer profitability. 

  • Drive performance transparency by enhancing reporting frameworks, identifying risks and opportunities, and translating analysis into clear recommendations and corrective actions.

3. Strategic Business Partnering & Financial Leadership 

  • Act as the primary strategic finance business partner to Commercial and Trade Marketing, providing constructive challenge and financial guidance on commercial priorities, investment allocation, customer initiatives, and A&P governance. 

  • Drive ROI-focused investment decisions through robust pre- and post-evaluation frameworks, embedding financial discipline and a value-driven mindset across Commercial and Trade Marketing teams. 

  • Establish and continuously improve promotion effectiveness and ROI measurement frameworks, providing actionable recommendations to optimize trade investments, A&P spending, and commercial activation performance. 

  • Strengthen cross-functional collaboration and customer-level P&L ownership, enabling teams to make informed and profitable decisions. 

  • Represent Finance in management and regional performance reviews, clearly communicating financial implications, opportunities, and risks to influence commercial priorities and resource allocation. 

 

4. Commercial Projects & Transformation 

  • Provide financial expertise and analytical support for strategic commercial projects, business cases, and investment decisions. 

  • Support cross-functional commercial projects, ensuring financial rigor, strategic alignment, and disciplined execution. 

  • Collaborate with project teams to deliver transformation initiatives that enhance commercial effectiveness, profitability, and operational efficiency. 

  • Drive scope of work toward Fit-for-purpose mindset by leveraging simplification, synchronization in process and data points  

 

5. Executive-Level Ad-hoc & Governance 

Other ad-hoc tasks related to Commercial Finance scope required by line manager or Top Management. 

JOB REQUIREMENTS 

Education & Experience 

  • Bachelor degree of Accountancy & Finance. 

  • Proven working experience with minimum of 7-10 years of solid Finance experience in a corporate, international environment, preferably in FMCG industry with strong commercial footprint

Functional & Leadership Competencies 

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills across top management (CODI), business partners (Commercial, Trade Marketing, Marketing, and Logistics), and team management (3 people) 

  • Strong commercial acumen, financial analysis capability, and business partnering mindset 

  • Resilient, innovative, open to learn 

  • Fluency in English, Vietnamese with clarity and summary communication style 

  • Teamwork / Motivational Ability
