Description
The Sales Manager is a senior business leader responsible for driving strategy, execution, and operational excellence across a large, multinational sales organization. Working closely with senior sales leadership, this role develops and implements strategic and tactical plans to accelerate revenue growth, strengthen sales performance, and ensure consistent execution across markets.
The Sales Manager brings structure, discipline, and strong business judgment to the organization while remaining closely connected to delivery outcomes. This leader manages managers, develops high-performing teams, and ensures that sales initiatives are clearly communicated, effectively adopted, and delivered on time.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Execution
- Collaborate with senior sales leadership to define and execute strategic and tactical plans that support revenue growth, market expansion, and scalable program delivery.
- Convert business strategy into actionable plans, key milestones, and measurable success indicators.
- Oversee multiple workstreams at the same time, balancing strategic direction with hands-on execution support.
People Leadership
- Lead, support, and coach Team Leads across multiple countries and regions, typically overseeing a broad organization of approximately 50–100 sales professionals.
- Build and develop engaged, high-performing sales teams with a strong focus on accountability, collaboration, and excellence.
- Act as a people leader by providing consistent coaching, constructive feedback, and performance management support.
Operational Excellence
- Establish clear structure, operating discipline, and consistency across planning, execution, and reporting processes.
- Ensure teams deliver against agreed priorities, timelines, and business commitments.
- Promote strong alignment across regions by clarifying roles, goals, responsibilities, and expectations.
Insights & Performance Management
- Use data to identify trends, surface actionable insights, and support informed business decisions.
- Create clear action plans to address performance gaps and capture growth opportunities.
- Champion data-driven decision making through strong analytical discipline, reporting quality, and performance visibility.
Communication & Enablement
- Ensure relevant teams clearly understand sales initiatives, program updates, and operational changes.
- Communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, regional leaders, and cross-functional partners.
- Contribute relevant business perspective and thought leadership to improve overall program outcomes.
Qualifications (Required)
- 7+ years of overall professional experience.
- At least 3+ years of experience as a Sales Manager or in a comparable leadership role.
- Experience in Digital Marketing Operations.
- Experience working with external clients in BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience leading managers and large, culturally diverse sales teams in fast-paced, performance-driven environments.
- Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to use data, reporting, and business insights to guide decisions and improve performance.
- Experience leading Account Management or sales teams focused on customer retention, portfolio growth, and revenue expansion.
- Ability to scale programs, strengthen operational maturity, and drive consistent execution across complex, multinational organizations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and align cross-functional teams.
- Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, as well as Office or G-Suite collaboration and presentation tools.
- Fluent English is required.
