Applications are invited from high-calibre candidates for the position of Assistant Manager (Quality Assurance and Enhancement) in the Quality Assurance and Enhancement (QAE) team of the Academic Registry.
Reporting to the line manager, the appointee will assist the QAE team in providing secretarial and administrative support to relevant committees and working groups on undergraduate studies and quality assurance matters of both the Clear Water Bay (CWB) and Guangzhou (GZ) campuses. The appointee will also provide practical support for quality assurance and academic administration of undergraduate programs at HKUST and HKUST(GZ).
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide secretarial and administrative support to relevant Senate sub-committees and working groups related to matters on undergraduate studies and quality assurance on CWB and GZ campuses;
- Support communication and liaison with internal and external stakeholders, including committee members, academic and administrative units, HKUST(GZ) counterparts, and statutory bodies (such as HKCAAVQ);
- Provide support for the quality assurance and academic administration of undergraduate programs at HKUST and HKUST(GZ), including reviewing curricular proposals and quality assurance reports, and monitoring academic units’ compliance with institutional policies and procedures;
- Maintain relevant websites and in-house databases, and assist in developing new databases or repositories to support internal review, reporting and analytics; and
- Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager.
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of post-qualification work experience in the tertiary education sector, preferably with experience in program management/administration and/or quality assurance. The appointee should be self-motivated, well organised, attentive to detail, and a good team player. A good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint, are required. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of the contract.
