Cerebral Palsy Alliance is opening a brand-new Supported Independent Living (SIL) home in Dee Why, and we’re looking for energetic, enthusiastic Disability Support Workers to join our new team.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fresh team, create a positive home environment and support a group of young adults aged 19–35 to live independently, build confidence and get the most out of life.

About the Role
As a Disability Support Worker, you’ll provide high-quality, person-centred support to our young adult clients in their brand-new home.
You’ll help clients to live as independently as possible while supporting them to achieve their goals, develop their skills and enjoy everyday life.
Your day might include:
- Supporting daily living, cooking, mealtimes and household tasks
- Providing personal care with dignity and respect
- Supporting medication and health routines
- Manual handling and use of specialised equipment such as hoists
- Supporting clients to participate in their local community
- Encouraging independence, confidence and social connection
- Creating a fun, welcoming and positive home environment
- Monitoring wellbeing and completing accurate documentation
- Working closely with your new team to provide consistent, person-centred support
This is more than a support role — you’ll be helping create a home and community where young adults can thrive.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for people who bring energy, enthusiasm and a genuine passion for working with young adults.
You might have experience in disability support, aged care, youth work, community services or a similar environment, or you may simply have the right attitude, values and willingness to learn.
Most importantly, you are:

- Comfortable working in a home environment
- Committed to person-centred care and promoting independence
Essential Criteria
- Current NSW Driver’s Licence (minimum P2)
- Ability to meet the inherent physical requirements of the role
- Willingness to work a rotating roster
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working With Children Check
- First Aid & CPR
