Description
Maybury is seeking a highly motivated fleet mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet to maximize the performance, reliability, and availability of these vehicles. Our fleet includes service vans, passenger vehicles, trailers, snowplows, and similar equipment.
Your key responsibilities in this role will include:
- Conduct regular inspections and routine maintenance to ensure vehicles and equipment are in optimal working condition, and unsafe vehicles are not released for use.
- Work with other team members to schedule repair and planned maintenance calls timely and efficiently to ensure fleet readiness and minimal downtime.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and other issues with vehicle components such as, but not limited to, brakes, steering systems, suspension components, transmissions, tires, engines, air and cooling systems, etc.
- Document and maintain accurate records of all services, repairs, and inspections performed on fleet vehicles.
- May provide emergency roadside assistance when necessary.
- May weld as needed when repairing and maintaning vehicles, if has appropriate training and needed certifications.
- Work in a safe manner according to company policies and federal, state, and local regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- At least three years of related mechanic experience with ASE certification. Electric vehicle experience is preferred.
- Diesel mechanic and welding experience preferred.
- Ability to read electrical wiring/hydraulic schematics.
- Intermediate Windows, email, and internet skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
- A valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving history are required.
