Responsibilities
As The Security Specialist Operations Lead, you will:
- Execute and coordinate the recurring security processes that sustain day-to-day classified mission activity.
- Work across access controls, secure-area procedures, documentation, records, systems maintenance, issue resolution, and related facility or compartmented-environment requirements.
- Connect multiple security functions to ensure that routine actions are completed accurately, emerging needs are addressed promptly, and operational safeguards remain effective.
- By maintaining situational awareness, coordinating with Government stakeholders and contractor teams, and documenting the status of security activities, the Security Specialist Operations helps keep sensitive operations safe, compliant, and responsive.
- Provide practical subject-matter guidance and supports continuous improvement of the processes that govern daily security execution.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Execute recurring security processes that enable safe and compliant classified operations.
- Coordinate access, secure-area, documentation, records, and facility-related actions across responsible security functions.
- Monitor daily security activities, open actions, operational issues, and changing mission requirements.
- Resolve routine security problems and coordinate specialized support when issues cross functional boundaries.
- Maintain accurate operational records, logs, systems updates, status trackers, and supporting documentation.
- Support secure-area opening, closing, access, visitor, incident, and safeguarding procedures as assigned.
- Advise Government and contractor personnel on approved operational security procedures and required protective measures.
- Recommend process changes that improve reliability, responsiveness, and consistency across daily security operations.

Qualifications
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant discipline and 10 years of directly relevant experience; or a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline plus 14 years of directly related work experience.
- Experience must include support to Special Access Program and Sensitive Compartmented Information environments
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate effectively across Government, contractor, and external stakeholders; prepare briefings, reports, standard operating procedures, and official correspondence; and lead a team in fast paced classified environments.
- CLEARANCE: Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility; must be able to meet any applicable Special Access Program eligibility requirements identified by the Government.
