Description
Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour
Schedule: Friday–Tuesday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM
Days Off: Wednesday & Thursday
Position Type: Gatehouse / Community Access Control
- Operate and monitor the community gatehouse and access-control systems.
- Verify residents, guests, vendors, contractors, and other authorized individuals entering the community.
- Follow established procedures for visitor access, guest registration, deliveries, contractors, and service personnel.
- Maintain accurate visitor logs, access records, and other required documentation.
- Utilize computers, access-control software, telephones, and other electronic systems as required.
- Communicate professionally with residents, visitors, property management, and emergency personnel.
- Enforce community rules, regulations, access-control procedures, and security policies in a professional and respectful manner.
- Monitor the entrance area and report suspicious, unauthorized, or unusual activity.
- Respond appropriately to resident and visitor inquiries while maintaining a courteous customer-service approach.
- Assist with directing visitors and providing general information regarding community access procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding residents, visitors, community operations, and security-related information.
- Report incidents, safety concerns, policy violations, or other issues to the appropriate SMI supervisor or community management.
- Complete required daily activity reports and shift documentation accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional gatehouse environment.
- Perform other security and gatehouse-related duties as assigned.
- Previous experience working as a gatehouse attendant, security officer, access-control officer, concierge, front desk attendant, or similar position.
- Strong computer skills and the ability to learn and operate access-control systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Strong customer-service skills.
- Ability to enforce rules and regulations while remaining courteous and respectful.
- Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout the assigned shift.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and complete required reports.
- Valid Florida Security D License, if required for the assigned post.
