Responsibilities

The Lab Assistant receives and processes specimens. Maintains proper patient identification. Interacts with patients and staff. Performs various clerical duties. Performs tasks and maintains lab environment in safe manner as required by regulatory agencies.

Qualifications

Education Required:

• High School Diploma/GED

Preferred:

• AA degree or 24 college units in laboratory science courses.
• Typing and Computer skills in a Windows environment.
• Excellent organization skills, with passion for working in a medical laboratory setting.
• High level of customer service.

Licensure/Certification:Preferred: California Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT 1 or CPT 2).
