Join Cross Country Education as a Special Education Teacher in Surprise, AZ, where you’ll provide individualized support, collaborate with school teams, and help students thrive throughout the school year.
Position Overview
- Provide specialized instruction, accommodations, and curriculum modifications to students with disabilities in alignment with IEP goals, services, and individual learning needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, families, administrators, related service providers, and support staff to promote inclusive instruction and student success.
- Support students in either an Elementary Resource or a Middle School structured, self-contained (STC-2) classroom, using evidence-based instructional strategies, visual supports, and appropriate curriculum resources.
- Monitor student progress, maintain IEP-related documentation and data, and implement individualized accommodations, modifications, and behavior supports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field
- Valid Arizona Special Education Certification (ADE); alternative teaching certifications are not accepted
- Active Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Ability to obtain and maintain Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) certification
- Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs through IEP implementation, differentiated instruction, and collaborative service delivery
