Director of Business Transformation & Process Improvement

Position Summary

The Director of Business Transformation & Process Improvement is responsible for leading cross-functional initiatives that improve how the organization operates, increase efficiency, strengthen business processes, and support the execution of key strategic priorities.

This role will serve as a hands-on problem solver and change leader, working across Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, Customer Service, IT, and other functions to identify opportunities, determine root causes, develop practical solutions, and drive those solutions through implementation.

The ideal candidate combines strong business and operational acumen with deep ERP and systems knowledge. Experience with Infor SyteLine/CSI is particularly valuable, but the role is broader than ERP administration. Technology and systems should be used as tools to enable better processes, stronger controls, improved visibility, and more efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead high-priority business      transformation and strategic initiatives identified by executive      leadership from initial assessment through implementation and measurable      results.
• Evaluate end-to-end business      processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, unnecessary manual      work, control gaps, and opportunities for standardization.
• Serve as a cross-functional problem      solver, taking ownership of complex issues that span multiple      departments or do not have a clear functional owner.
• Develop and implement improved      processes with clear ownership, accountability, procedures, and      performance measures.
• Drive greater consistency and      adoption of best practices across business units while recognizing where      operational differences require flexibility.
• Leverage Infor SyteLine/CSI      and related systems to improve business processes, data integrity,      workflow, reporting, inventory management, job costing, production      visibility, and decision-making.
• Identify opportunities to      eliminate spreadsheets, duplicate data entry, manual reconciliations, and      other non-value-added activities through system improvements and      automation.
• Partner closely with operational      and functional leaders to ensure solutions address the underlying business      problem rather than simply treating symptoms.
• Establish KPIs and other      measures to quantify the financial and operational impact of      transformation initiatives.
• Develop project plans, establish      milestones and accountability, remove roadblocks, and communicate progress      to executive leadership.
• Support change management,      training, documentation, and ongoing process ownership to ensure      improvements are sustained.

Ideal Background

• Significant experience leading      business process improvement, transformation, ERP, operational excellence,      or cross-functional strategic initiatives.
• Strong working knowledge of Infor      SyteLine/CSI within a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to      understand how processes flow across functions including order entry,      planning, purchasing, inventory, manufacturing, shipping, costing, and      financial reporting.
• Strong analytical and      problem-solving skills with the ability to move from identifying an issue      to implementing a practical solution.
• Comfortable working directly      with employees at all levels of the organization—from the production floor      to executive leadership.
• Ability to challenge existing      practices constructively and drive accountability without relying on      direct reporting relationships.
• Strong project management,      communication, and change-management skills.
• Hands-on, action-oriented      approach with a demonstrated ability to take ownership and drive      initiatives through completion.

Measures of Success

Success in this role will be measured by results rather than activity, including measurable improvements in efficiency, process reliability, data accuracy, system utilization, cost reduction, working capital, employee productivity, and execution of strategic initiatives.

The successful individual will become a trusted resource for leadership when the organization has a significant problem to solve, a process that needs to be improved, or a strategic initiative that needs a strong owner to drive it to completion.
