At Pyramid Healthcare Mountaineer Inpatient, our LPNs provide meaningful clinical care to clients receiving inpatient treatment for substance use disorders—without many of the physically demanding responsibilities found in traditional nursing settings.
What Makes This LPN Position Different?

💰 $28–$32/hour + differentials

🌙 12-hour night shifts: 7 PM–7 AM

🩺 No ADLs — clients are independent with bathing, feeding, grooming, and personal hygiene.

💉 No IVs, ports, or midlines
-
🩸 No blood draws — handled by a contracted national laboratory.

🚫 No catheters
-
🏃 Minimal physical demands — no heavy lifting or prolonged standing/walking.

💻 Electronic eMAR — no paper MARs.

📚 Gain valuable experience in substance use disorder and detox nursing.
What You'll Do
As an LPN, you'll provide hands-on nursing care while supporting clients through the early stages of recovery.
Your responsibilities will include:

Completing initial nursing assessments for new admissions.

Administering medications and providing medication education.
-
Monitoring clients during detox and completing COWS and CIWA assessments.

Supporting medical providers with initial assessments and medication management appointments.

Providing compassionate, patient-centered nursing care.
-
Performing other nursing duties as assigned.
What You Bring
-
Current LPN license in West Virginia
-
Current CPR/BLS, AED, and First Aid certification
-
A compassionate approach and interest in behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment.
