What you’ll do in the role:

Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC is seeking a Vice President, Banking in New York, New York to execute a broad range of financial transactions including Mergers & acquisitions (M&A), Equity and debt financings (IPOs, follow-ons, private placements), Leveraged buyouts (LBOs) and recapitalizations, Corporate restructurings and divestitures, and Strategic advisory assignments and unsolicited defense mandates. Drive client communications and handle day-to-day transaction processes. Oversee preparation of client presentations, financial models, valuation analyses, and other materials. Coordinate with internal product and coverage teams. Develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients and key decision makers. Conduct industry research and monitor market developments to support client pitches and deal execution.

What you’ll bring to the role:

-Requires a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field of study

-Requires three (3) years of experience in the position offered or three (3) years as a Vice President, Associate, or a closely related occupation

-Requires three (3) years of experience with the following skills:

• Deal structuring and closing principles;
• Financial modeling;
• Evaluating strategic opportunities including mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and debt and equity financing transactions;
• Applying general accounting and finance principles;
• Researching and analyzing market events utilizing quantitative and analytical methodologies;
• Preparing buy side financial due diligence reports;
• Preparing sell side financial due diligence reports;
• Sourcing and consolidating client data from software systems;
• Creating financial data packs summarizing key performance trends for due diligence purposes;
• Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint;
• Bloomberg, FactSet, SNL Global Banking, and S&P Global;
• Transaction and market research resources including The Deal, Mergermarket, and Debtwire;

Industry publications including the Wall Street Journal.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $275,000 and $275,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
