What impact you’ll make:
As a member of the Gas Power Global Supply Chain Center of Excellence, the Inventory process SME is the key finance partner for gas value stream. This role is responsible for leading the inventory process, analytics, and reporting as part of the Supply Chain Operational Finance team to drive improvements to core finance processes enabling efficiencies to downstream operating partners. This role is responsible for the wing-to-wing financial management of the Refurbished Parts business line, covering P&L ownership, inventory controls, budgeting, and operational finance support.
Job Description
What you’ll do
- Subject matter expert (SME) in key supply chain and financial processes related to inventory procedures, closing and reporting
- Responsible for P&L & Inventory budget cycles, as well as pacing, closing & other forecasting cycles (i.e. Early Read)
- Buyback & Commercial Support: validate buyback calculations, assist in business cases, provide guidance to Operations
- Improve reporting accuracy, efficiency and controls around actual inventory and inventory aging & obsolescent risks
- Sales, COGS, inventory, obsolescence reconciliations, controls
- Execute monthly closing activities to ensure compliance to USGAAP and Statutory requirements, communicate P&L monthly results to the GSC (Global Supply Chain) FP&A Leader
- Actively participate in Obsolescence Inventory and FIFO revaluation planning, pacing, present results to Finance leader and Site Leader
- Support controllership and sites to enhance key controls, roles & responsibilities, and reporting around physical inventories, cycle counts, slow moving/obsolescent inventory, and FIFO
- Initiate and lead improvement projects with global impact and cross functional involvement to enhance data analytics and reporting integrity around inventory actuals, forecasting, inventory turns, FIFO and slow-moving inventory/obsolescence. Present progress and results to senior finance leaders
- Partner with key stakeholders to develop harmonized standard global operating procedures in complex matrixed, operating environment
- Communicate and align global calendar to inventory & P&L rhythms across GSC Finance teams (annual PIs, budget, etc)
- Support the X-Fleet Solutions business line with ad-hoc analysis
- Lead annual Physical Inventory Stocktake process (for the factory in scope) as a primary contact for factory operations, act as a focal point towards External auditors, ensure audit support documents are available in time and in required quality, explain process and results to auditors
- Able to effectively communicate current state and future state process & controls, develop roadmap and execute roadmap actions to align system/process differences across global supply chain to drive harmonized global standard work
What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or Finance
- Relevant experience in the field of finance
- Knowledge of accounting policies and practices, including US GAAP and inventory
- Prior knowledge of SAP ERP is essential
- Prior knowledge of digital and automation tools such as Tableau, RPA
- Fluent English knowledge is essential
