Our people at JLL are shaping the future of real estate for a better world by combining world class services, advisory and technology for our clients. We are committed to hiring the best, most talented people and empowering them to thrive, grow meaningful careers and to find a place where they belong. Whether you’ve got deep experience in commercial real estate, skilled trades or technology, or you’re looking to apply your relevant experience to a new industry, join our team as we help shape a brighter way forward.
What this job involves:
As a Senior Project Manager at JLL's Princeton, IN location, you'll take full ownership of capital construction and renovation projects at one of the nation's premier automotive manufacturing complexes. This role places you at the center of meaningful work — managing end-to-end project delivery from initial scoping through final closeout while serving as the primary JLL point of contact for the client's facilities and engineering teams. You'll lead a diverse portfolio that spans new construction, facility upgrades, infrastructure improvements, and specialized manufacturing support spaces, all while operating within the client's Tier Excellence Recognition Award (TERA) compliance framework and adhering to stringent automotive industry Construction Safety Requirements (TCSR v4.3) at all times. What sets JLL apart is our culture of collaboration, locally and across the globe, and you'll experience that firsthand as you work within matrix project teams to build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and deliver projects that directly support advanced automotive manufacturing operations.
What your day-to-day will look like:
Lead project scoping sessions with client stakeholders to define objectives, constraints, and success criteria, developing project charters and feasibility analyses that set the foundation for successful delivery
Develop and manage detailed project budgets from pre-design through closeout, tracking committed costs, actual expenditures, and change orders while conducting value engineering exercises to optimize outcomes
Create and maintain master project schedules using industry-standard tools, identifying critical path activities and proactively managing schedule risks to keep projects on track
Prepare complete bid packages and manage competitive bid processes from pre-bid meetings through contract award, ensuring compliance with JLL and client procurement standards
Serve as the owner's representative during construction, conducting regular site walks, attending OAC meetings, and enforcing automotive industry safety requirements including daily safety audits and JSA protocols
Review and approve submittals, RFIs, and change orders in a timely manner while coordinating third-party inspections, commissioning activities, and punch list resolution
Deliver weekly project status reports and participate in client meetings and executive briefings, maintaining proactive communication and complete documentation across all platforms
Coordinate design team selection, contract negotiation, pre-construction activities, and regulatory review to ensure seamless project initiation aligned with operational requirements
Manage contractor performance against scope, schedule, budget, and quality benchmarks while overseeing ISNetworld pre-qualification compliance for all engaged contractors
Required qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field, OR minimum 7 years of project management experience in commercial or industrial construction
Demonstrated experience managing projects from $1M to $50M+ in value with full accountability for outcomes
Proficiency in project scheduling software such as MS Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent platforms
Experience with owner's representative or client-side project management in a professional capacity
Strong working knowledge of construction contracts, cost management, and procurement processes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly across all organizational levels
Preferred qualifications:
PMP (Project Management Professional) or CCM (Certified Construction Manager) certification
Experience in automotive manufacturing, industrial, or mission-critical facility environments
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
Prior experience with automotive industry or equivalent owner safety compliance frameworks
Experience with Procore, Adaptive Work, or Ingenious project management platforms
