Role/Team overview
Our Tech Strategy & Business Ops Planning team is an integral part of the Global Streaming Technology organisation which delivers market leading products and capabilities across Sky Group. We are looking for passionate, committed individuals to join our team and opportunity abounds for the right candidates!
As a Planning Analyst within the Tech Strategy & Business Operations team, you will play a key role in driving operational excellence and strategic insight across our technology portfolio. You will work closely with Finance, Portfolio Delivery, and Development teams to ensure accurate forecasting, resource tracking, and data-driven decision-making. This role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and has a passion for turning data into actionable intelligence.
What you’ll do –
Forecasting: Track and manage financial forecasts and actuals across all portfolios of work, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
Data Analysis: Analyse complex datasets to identify trends, variances, and key insights that inform business decisions.
Reporting: Produce clear, concise reports and present findings to senior stakeholders, including Directors and Heads of Department.
Timesheet Compliance: Support timesheet tracking and compliance across teams to maintain accurate capacity and demand planning.
Project Support: Contribute to various capacity and demand initiatives as required, supporting broader strategic planning efforts.

What you’ll bring
Experience: Proven analytical experience in planning, forecasting, or business operations within a technology or consulting environment.
Technical Skills: Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, or similar tools with the ability to tell a story with the data.
Communication: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Collaboration: Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple teams and build productive working relationship
Attention to Detail: Detail-oriented with a proactive mindset and problem-solving attitude.
‘Can do’ attitude: Lead by example and be prepared to go the extra mile when needed.
Highly organised: Have the drive to bring order and structure to the planning environment you’ll be working in.

How you’ll work
We've adopted a hybrid working approach to give more flexibility on where and how we work. The hybrid working expectations for this role are 2 days in the office per week.
