Are you a reliable driver with a commitment to safety and student success? The College of the Holy Cross is seeking professional, dependable drivers to join our transportation team. In this role, you may operate a 7- or 12-passenger van, or Golf cart on special event days, ensuring students reach their destinations safely and efficiently. No special licensing required.Job Description
Job Summary:
Responsible for driving a College passenger van (7 and 12 passenger vehicles) to transport students safely to and from various locations. On call | Per Diem position.
Major Responsibilities
Inspect vehicle before and after trips
Drive safely in all weather conditions
Follow traffic laws and all regulations
Communicate effectively with students, staff, and management
Teamwork
Requirements:
Valid driver's license with 5 years consecutive experience
Comfortable with computer systems/google and adaptable to new software
Complete a road assessment with our onsite trainer
Ability to work independently
Good driving record and ability to pass a drug test
Comfortable driving (Occasional) longer distances (Boston/Providence) Most trips are local in Central Massachusetts
Fluent English
Dependability and Time Management
Shift:
Flexible shifts are available 7 days a week across morning, afternoon, and evening hours. Candidates with availability between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM M-F are highly preferred.
Additional Information:
This is an On-Call, per-diem, Non-Exempt position. The hourly rate for this position is $17.00/hour.
