[What the role is]
This role supports the Assistant Director in the development, coordination and implementation of the organisation’s Data and AI strategy. The role plays a central integrator function within DSAD, ensuring that the Data and AI strategy is coherently translated into aligned initiatives across infrastructure, governance, capability development and delivery, and that execution and performance are systematically tracked.[What you will be working on]
Key responsibilities include:
Support the Assistant Director in the development and refresh of the Data and AI strategy, including ensuring alignment across infrastructure, governance, operating model and capability pillars.
Translate Data and AI strategy into coordinated implementation plans and initiatives across DSAD.
Track the execution, progress and performance of Data and AI initiatives, highlighting key risks, dependencies and issues for management decision‑making.
Work with the Capability Development team to translate strategic priorities into downstream awareness, engagement and capability‑building programmes.
Support manpower and resource planning for DSAD, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and workplans.
Work closely with the Digital team to ensure Data and AI initiatives are aligned with broader digital plans and delivery timelines.
Prepare concise management updates, papers and presentations on strategy progress and performance.
[What we are looking for]
Requirements
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (e.g. public policy, business, economics, data or information‑related fields), or equivalent experience.
At least 5-7 years of relevant experience in strategy planning, corporate planning, programme management, digital transformation or related roles.
Experience supporting strategy development and coordinating cross‑functional initiatives through execution.
Strong planning, analytical and stakeholder management skills.
Self‑driven, structured and comfortable operating at the intersection of strategy and implementation.

Successful candidates will be offered a contract in the first instance and may be considered for an extension or be placed on a permanent tenure.
