Description
- Advise customers on the care of their cars and the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with manufacturers’ specifications, using maintenance menus.
- Greet customer in a timely, friendly manner, let customers who are waiting in line know that they will be helped soon.
- Schedule service appointments.
- Communicate with service customers to determine the nature of the mechanical problem.
- Obtain customer and vehicle data.
- If additional work is needed, explain the details to the customer, including the additional cost and time consideration.
- Handle telephone inquiries regarding work in process and return phone messages promptly.
- Follow-up progress of each repair order during the day.
- Be responsible for quality control to ensure that work is completed as requested and to reduce comebacks.
- Interpret warranty information and policies to customers.
- Identify ROs that require special handling such as rush, customer waiting, special problem.
- Be up-to-date on technical and performance information.
- Keep Service & Parts Director informed of all problems and potential problems involving repairs, customers, & equipment.
- Refer leads and prospects for vehicle sales to the Sales Department.
Job Requirements:
- Service Advisor experience.
- High School Diploma or higher, automotive training a plus.
- CDK experience a plus.
- Stable career with previous employers.
- Valid driver's license.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks (MVR, drug test).
