Job title: Account Handler
Salary: £40,000
Location: Greater Manchester - Hybrid
PURPOSE-OF-ROLE
Lawes is currently recruiting for an experienced Commercial Account Handler to join a dynamic and growing team servicing large commercial clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and retain a portfolio of existing commercial clients
- Support new-business opportunities in collaboration with executives
- Ensure compliance with FCA regulations in all broking activities
- Provide technical insurance advice across Motor, Fleet, Property, Tradesmen-Liability and Cyber
- Assist with the placement of premiums up to £400K
- Liaise effectively with claims and account-executive teams
DAY-TO-DAY
- Handle renewals, mid-term-adjustments and new quotes
- Prepare and present market submissions
- Maintain accurate client records and documentation
- Build strong client relationships through professional service delivery
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity
- Support the team in achieving KPIs and service-level standards
EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience as a Commercial Account Handler within the insurance industry
- Strong knowledge of relevant commercial insurance products
- Track record of managing high-value premiums and complex client needs
- Experience working in a broker environment
SKILLS
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Strong attention to detail and organisational ability
- Sound knowledge of FCA regulatory requirements
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently
- Proficient in relevant insurance software and Microsoft Office suite
